How to identify your wand

Count the batteries.

Slide the old battery wand tube out of the headrail and count the batteries inside. It is the only check that always works, even on an old wand whose label has worn away. The 12V and 18V wands are not interchangeable, and the wrong one will not run the shade. The battery wand replacement guide explains why the count beats the shade name.
