Right wand? Count the batteries in your old one. Twelve AA means this wand. Eight AA means the 12V wand.

Fresh batteries and still nothing? On Hunter Douglas motorized shades the failure is usually the battery wand, not the motor. Leaked alkalines corrode the contacts, or the end-cap fuse blows on a reversed cell. This is the current 18V wand, with Hunter Douglas's enhanced end caps and a fuse that opens the circuit if a cell goes in backwards. Batteries are not included.
Fits: Duette, Applause, Silhouette, Vignette, Nantucket and Duette Vertiglide shades, plus Pirouette and Sonnette headrails that take twelve cells. It also fits most other motorized Hunter Douglas headrails built for a twelve-cell wand, including Solera, Provenance and Designer Roller and Banded shades — on those lines, slide out your old wand and count the batteries before you order. Parkland and EverWood wood blinds take the eight-cell 12V wand, not this one. Check your shade line →

Three symptoms mean the wand and three do not. Battery wand not working? Run the six-symptom check — it takes two minutes and will talk you out of this purchase where it should. Not sure which of the two wands your shade takes? The Hunter Douglas battery wand replacement guide settles it.
One 18V battery wand, new and unused, in its original Hunter Douglas packaging. It is the current production version, with the fuse in the end cap that earlier wands did not have.
Batteries are not included. The wand ships empty, which is how it is supplied and how it should be stored. You will need twelve fresh AA cells, all the same brand — see what batteries these take.
Slide the old wand out of the headrail and count the battery channels inside it.
The count settles it on a shade of any age, which is more than the shade line does — several Hunter Douglas lines were built across the changeover and exist with either system. If the printed label has worn away, the count still works. More on that on the part numbers page. The Hunter Douglas battery wand replacement guide covers which lines take which, and what to check before you buy.
Two or three minutes, no tools, and the shade keeps its programming.
The full walkthrough, including what people get wrong, is on how to replace a battery wand.
Yes. The shade's pairing and its travel limits live in the motor, not in the wand, and Hunter Douglas's own battery-change steps include no re-pairing. It should respond within a few seconds of the new cells going in; if it ignores the remote, seat the wand firmly, confirm the cells are fresh, and re-pair it.
Almost certainly. Hunter Douglas revised these wands more than once and the current part supersedes the earlier ones. The battery count, not the printed number, is what tells you which of the two current wands you need.
Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, with no restocking fee. It needs to be unused, with no batteries put in, and in its packaging. You pay the return postage, which is a few dollars in a padded envelope. Email or call first so we can match it to your order. If we sent the wrong part, we pay for everything. The details are on the returns page.
Yes. It is genuine Hunter Douglas stock, new and unused, in its original packaging, with part number 7520068000 printed on the label. We are an independent seller, not an authorized dealer, so the manufacturer's warranty may not apply. Our own 30-day return policy does.

No. It ships empty. You will need twelve AA cells, and they should all be the same brand and all new — the cells are wired in series, so the whole string performs like the weakest one in it.
Then the batteries were not the problem, but the wand might not be either. Three of the six common symptoms mean the wand and three mean something a new wand will not fix. The six-symptom check takes two minutes.
