Hunter Douglas Blind Repair Kit: Which Kit Do You Need?
There is no single all-purpose Hunter Douglas repair kit. What Hunter Douglas documents instead are small kits for one job each, mostly on motorized shades: KIT9112 converts an old Silhouette or Nantucket battery wand, KIT8105 and KIT2791 are battery pack mounting kits, and cord, tassel and bracket parts are ordered one at a time.

What are the documented retrofits for older motorized shades?
Some repairs are not sold as one kit but as a list of parts. Hunter Douglas documents these:
- PowerRise 1.0 on Duette or Applause, when the old wand has failed: the 12V battery pack 7520069000, satellite mount kit KIT8105, extension cable 1026661 and power cable 2920247000. The batteries end up outside the shade.
- Vignette PowerRise made before May 2010: the 18V battery wand 7520068000 and power cable 2920247000, with 12 AA batteries. The old connection is not compatible with new parts.
- 18V satellite pack (May 2010 to July 2015): the 18V wand 7520068000 with KIT2791 and a power cable in the length you need.

Is there a repair kit for corded or cordless shades?
Not as a kit. Hunter Douglas sells the pieces separately through its parts store: brackets, tassels, handles, cord replacements and valance clips, plus its own shipping and handling charge. Hunter Douglas replacement parts lists them, and parts near me covers what you can get locally. Some repairs it reserves for professionals: cordlock systems on horizontal blinds must be repaired by an Authorized Service Center. If the shade is cordless rather than motorized, nothing on this site will fix it; shade won't go up or down explains why.
Questions people also ask
Is there a kit to convert PowerRise shades to PowerView?
No. Hunter Douglas says PowerRise shades cannot be converted to another operating system. Moving to PowerView means a new shade through a dealer.
Do repair kits include batteries?
Hunter Douglas lists 8 AA alkaline batteries as something to gather for KIT9112, separately from the kit. Our conversion kit and wands ship without batteries too.
Which kit do I need for a corroded battery tube?
It depends on the shade. A wand that is simply corroded is replaced with a new wand: count the batteries and order the 18V or 12V. An old sealed eight-cell tube that has failed is what the conversion kit is for. Silhouette and Nantucket PowerRise shades from before May 2010 take KIT9112.
Do I need a kit or just a new battery wand?
Usually just the wand. On most shades with the wand in or on the headrail, the fix for a dead wand is a new wand of the same battery count, with no kit. The exceptions are the older satellite packs and the pre-2010 tubes listed above. The battery wand replacement guide takes you through it.
