Hunter Douglas Replacement Parts: What You Can Order Yourself
Many Hunter Douglas replacement parts can be ordered by the owner: battery wands, brackets, tilters, tassels, handles, cord parts and valance clips are sold through Hunter Douglas's own parts store, and the two AA battery wands are also stocked by independent sellers like us. Motors, warranty claims and repairs that need the headrail taken apart go through a Hunter Douglas dealer.
BatteryWands is an independent retailer, not affiliated with or authorized by Hunter Douglas. We stock genuine Hunter Douglas battery wands and two parts for older motorized shades.

The parts store is at parts.hunterdouglas.com. Hunter Douglas's own advice is to search the part type, such as "battery wand" or "brackets", and filter by your product line. The single-job kits among those parts are explained on Hunter Douglas blind repair kit, and what you can buy locally today is on parts near me.
Which part fails most often on motorized shades?
On a motorized shade that has stopped completely, the power is the first thing to check, and the part is often the battery wand. Hunter Douglas names two causes of a corroded wand: batteries put in the wrong way round, and a dropped wand or dropped batteries. Before you order anything, run the six-symptom check: three symptoms mean the wand and three mean something a new wand will not fix.
To order the right wand, slide the old one out and count the batteries. Twelve means 7520068000; eight means 7520069000. The part numbers page covers the older numbers you may find printed on it.
Which parts are there for EverWood and Parkland blinds?
Hunter Douglas's horizontal blind guide covers Parkland, EverWood and Modern Precious Metals together. The parts it points owners to:
- Battery wand. Blinds motorized from May 2018 take the 8 AA 12V wand, part 7520069000. The 4 AA PowerTilt packs used before January 2007 are discontinued with no replacement. See EverWood battery wand. Aluminum blinds have their own page, Modern Precious Metals battery wand.
- Brackets. Any style from the parts store; the hidden bracket used before 2004 is KIT1303.
- Tilters. Several versions by slat size and control type, from the parts store.
- Tassels and cord connectors. Also from the parts store.
Repairs to cordlock lift systems are a different matter: Hunter Douglas says they must be done by an Authorized Service Center using original components.
What about roller shade parts?
Designer Roller, Screen and Banded shades take the 12 AA 18V wand, part 7520068000, or the pre-loaded 7520066000. Motor replacement on PowerView Gen 3 roller shades follows Hunter Douglas's installer instructions, so book a dealer for that.
Questions people also ask
Do I need a dealer to buy Hunter Douglas parts?
Not for simple parts. Hunter Douglas sells brackets, tassels, cord parts and battery wands to owners through its parts store. You do need the original dealer for warranty work: motorized components carry a five-year limited warranty for the original owner, claimed through the dealer who sold or installed the shade.
Are your parts genuine Hunter Douglas?
Yes. Our wands, kit and cable are genuine Hunter Douglas stock, new and unused, in original packaging. Because we are an independent seller and not an authorized dealer, the manufacturer's warranty may not apply; our 30-day returns policy does.
Can I replace a lost Hunter Douglas remote?
Not for PowerRise: Hunter Douglas says replacement PowerRise remotes are no longer available. For Legacy PowerView, a second remote can be set up as a copy of a working one, and Hunter Douglas documents the steps. We do not sell remotes.
Is it worth repairing an old shade, or should I replace it?
If the fabric and headrail are sound, repair it. A wand is $17.95; a new custom shade is hundreds. What Hunter Douglas repairs cost goes through each case.
How fast do your parts ship?
Free UPS Ground on every US order, shipped the same business day when you order before 3pm Eastern. See shipping.
