Battery wand for Applause Honeycomb Shades

The answer

The 18V wand, part 7520068000. It takes twelve AA batteries.

This is the current production version, the one with a fuse in the end cap that stops a reversed battery shorting the wand out. It supersedes every earlier wand used on this line, so it is the right part whatever age your shade is.

What this shade is

Applause is the single-cell honeycomb line - the same idea as Duette, built to a lower price point. Same automation, same wand, same part number.

Where the wand sits

Applause headrails are shallower than Duette's, so the wand is usually visible the moment you look up into the rail. No fishing about required.

How these fail

Because the rail is shallow the wand sits closer to the glass, and in a sunny room that means more heat cycling on the batteries. Leakage is the common failure here.

Is it definitely the wand?

Not every dead shade is a dead wand - travel limits, a lost remote pairing and tired batteries all look the same from across the room. Our six-symptom check sorts them out in a couple of minutes, and it will talk you out of the purchase where it should.
