Battery wand for Vignette Modern Roman Shades
The answer
The 18V wand, part 7520068000. It takes twelve AA batteries.
This is the current production version, the one with a fuse in the end cap that stops a reversed battery shorting the wand out. It supersedes every earlier wand used on this line, so it is the right part whatever age your shade is.
What this shade is
Vignette is the roman shade with no cords running down the back - the folds stack up into the headrail, flat or teardrop depending on how it was ordered.
Where the wand sits
The fabric rolls up into the headrail, which makes the rail crowded. Raise the shade fully and get the fabric clear before you reach for the wand rather than pulling against it.
How these fail
Vignettes carry more fabric weight than a honeycomb, so a weak wand shows as a shade that rises slowly or stops short of the top before it fails outright.
