Battery wand for Duette Honeycomb Shades
The answer
The 18V wand, part 7520068000. It takes twelve AA batteries.
This is the current production version, the one with a fuse in the end cap that stops a reversed battery shorting the wand out. It supersedes every earlier wand used on this line, so it is the right part whatever age your shade is.
What this shade is
Duette is the honeycomb shade - pleated fabric formed into cells that trap air across the glass. Architella is the double-cell version, a cell inside a cell. It is the line most often ordered with PowerView, which makes it the line whose wands we replace most.
Where the wand sits
The wand clips into a bracket at one end of the headrail, behind the fabric stack. On a deep Architella headrail it sits further back than you expect - it has not fallen out, it is recessed.
How these fail
Duettes are light, so they tend to fail cleanly: working one day, dead the next. A Duette that still moves but sounds labored is usually batteries rather than the wand.
Is it definitely the wand?
