Battery wand for Nantucket Window Shadings
The answer
The 18V wand, part 7520068000. It takes twelve AA batteries.
This is the current production version, the one with a fuse in the end cap that stops a reversed battery shorting the wand out. It supersedes every earlier wand used on this line, so it is the right part whatever age your shade is.
What this shade is
Nantucket is the earlier sheer shading in the Silhouette family - fabric vanes between sheer facings, sold under the Nantucket name before the range was consolidated.
Where the wand sits
Same arrangement as a Silhouette: the wand sits inside the headrail above the roller.
How these fail
If your shade is a Nantucket it is old enough that the wand in it is almost certainly a superseded version, and old enough that leaked batteries are the likely culprit. Check for crust in the tube before assuming the motor has gone.
Is it definitely the wand?
